Reef Octopus HOB Protein Skimmer..any good?

Anyone have any experience using a Reef Octopus HOB Protein Skimmer?

Reef Octopus BH 100 Hang on Back Protein Skimmer - AquaCave

I was considering buying this for my FOWLR 55 gallon system.

My tank isn't predrilled and I don't have a sump setup at the moment. Thought I'd go with a HOB setup for a while and upgrade to an sump system when I get the reef portion going.

I have a Octopus BH 2000 HOB from Aquacave and I love it! I think most would say Octo's are some of the best skimmers around for the money.

I bought a Octopus BH-300F HOB and love it for the price. Once I got it fine tuned, all I do now is empty the collection cup. Very easy set-up

My BH100F showed up yesterday. Can I put a PhosGaurd packet in the skimmer like I do a carbon packet on my HOB filter?

That's a good question. I would run it normally for awhile to get it all dialed in, they can take a couple weeks to get "broken in." Then you can throw it in there and see, as long as it doesn't screw up your skimate production it's probably fine.
