Remote pump .

Can I put my return pump in my conservatory some 2 meters away from my sump . The humming sound is doing my head in. Heres a rough diagram of what ive got and what im about to do . will it work. The pump is a 1262 eheim .

It shouldn't be a problem as long as the pump is lower than the sump. A pump is made to push water and not draw it in, so as long as the water can free flow down into the pump it should work fine. The extra distance will add head pressure to the pump so the pump may lose some GPH.

did the same thing with my laundry room, noise is compeltely gone but needed stronger pump
