Hi all! I finally purchased a custom-made rimless tank. I know that this topic has been discussed to death before, but the opinions are so varied that I'd feel more comfortable just making this specific to my tank. The tank is 55 gallons, and I purchased "Premium Grip Liner" from Home Depot, which is probably about 1/8 inch thick. It's lined all along the bottom of the tank and it extends slightly outward. Do you think this will suffice? I understand that a lot of people use Yoga mats/styrofoam. Please see photos below.

IMO if the manufacturer has done his job then the tank should be fine resting on any flat surface as long it can support it. The way I see it the foam will compress where is has the most pressure but won't support any weight where it's not compressed. I've never used any foam under any aquarium in 40+ years of keeping fish. Good luck!

Agreed with the above, without full, continued support throughout, it's not going to help
