Ro unit 275ppm ??

I was checking my ro water with my tds meter yesterday and it read 257ppm??? The water comes from a 2 week old ro unit. Is this correct or is something wrong with my tds meter??

Do you have a Di attached or just ro?

Just ro. But it shouldn't be this much should it?

So I checked my ro water today again. The water coming out of the ro unit directly reads 0.60. Not bad. But the water in my rubbermaid bin to store the ro water reads 270!! The water has a pump and heater in it. Water is only couple days old. How come it shows those high numbers?

Did you rinse the rubbermaid before using it? Is it covered? Just about anything can get in there and mess with that number I figure.....
