SCWD, worth it?

I wanted to purchase one of those. Im going to be putting 2 return pipes coming from a T from the return pump in the tank. i was thinking about purchasing this, do you think id notice a difference in coral behavior/growth? any other benefits?

petsolutions has it for 30$, so it wasnt incredibly expensive. what do you think?

I like mine. Got a mag 12 hooked up to it, works real well with that. The 9.5 I had on it just didn't seem to have enough push after the 6 or 7 foor of pipe.

Not trying to hijack just maybe help out. How much do you think the SCWD restricts flow? On my setup I will be using either a Mag 7 or 9.5 with about 4' of head from a Megaflow.

With 4 ft you might want to go with a 9.5, you will loose some with the head but then somemore with the scwd.

Thanks for the advice. I was kinda looking for around 500 gph through the sump and fuge. What do you guess a 9.5 will do?

At 4 ft head, and the scwd I'd say your around 550 to 575. if I had to guess.
