Seaweed colors: what do they mean?

I'm not really sure if this goes here so admin please move if needed. I was wondering what the difference between Julian Sprang's red, green, and purple seaweed is? I've compared all three packages and can't seem to find one.

Different colors are different species of porphyra - seaweed.

How do I know which to give my fish?

In my experience the green holds up better in the water. the red and purple tend to get ripped apart too quickly and it gets detached from the clip. But any of the colors will be fine, the fish arent particular usually. lol
