Hi all,

I am setting up a new tank for a friend and i need to know how to Design or in what Order all the Equipment should be placed?
This is what i want to install but not sure in what order?

  • 200 Gal Display Tank
  • 90 Gal Sump
  • Protein Skimmer
  • JBJ 1/3 HP Arctica Chiller
  • Protein Skimmer G4X
  • Coralife Calcium Reactor
  • Two Little Fishies Phosban
  • 4 Stage RO/DI With 100 Gal basin
The Display tank is Upstaires and all the hardware is Downstairs.
The Water will be pushed by 2 Pumps.

Any help with this would be very appreciated.

Thank you

Not sure what you're asking about the on the "order" of installation.

You got 2 skimmers. Why?

Also, you didn't mention lighting. Why the chiller?

No water movement/powerheads?

Sorry for my Bad Description. New at all this Posting..

So my friend has a 200 Gal already setup
But his tank is not doing so well.. everything is alive.. but not amazing..
So i noticed he does NOT have the following:

  • Coralife Calcium Reactor
  • Two Little Fishies Phosban
  • JBJ 1/3 HP Arctica Chiller
But i am not sure how to add it to his System.

Idealy i would like to dismantle everything and set it up properly
( Like a pro install.. With a control panel for all equipment.)

I never did this before and i was wondering if there are any plans or design how to set this all up ?

BTW he needs a chiller because his water is always over 80C to 84C
Also there is only one Skimmer my bad!

Thanks for any help possible.

I think you mean 80-84F since C would translate to 176-183F. As far as temperature, 80-84F is a typical range and unless there is excess heat during the summer I wouldn't bother with a chiller. I assume he has fans in the canopy and even the sump? Is the Phosban reactor going to be used for carbon or phosphate media? Do you have water parameter readings for his tank? Although the products mention are fine to use, I don't see any of them as a catalyst in making corals flourish unless you have some major areas to improve water chemistry-wise.

yes sorry the thank is at 84F , and this is now.. summer should get warmer..
I read it needs to be at idea: 74-76..
Yes he does have Fans in the canopy and the sump ( 90Gal)
Phosban i was thinking possibly a 50/50 Ratio..
sorry don't have the readings of the tank..
would you know if there are any sites that i can get information on Installing all this ? or the best way to do so..?
Meaning: where to place the chiller or all the new items.. should they all connect to the sump ?

Thanks!!
