Can someone please tell me why my skimmer would be doing this it's been like it for weeks

looks like the skimmer is pulling out quality dry skimmate. have you tried to get some wet skimmate? (or less dry)

Like red wolf said just skim it a little wetter. That's really good for a free skimmer though.

I've made skimmer cups drain into a collection chamber in the past, does yours have that option? Or do you know how to if it doesn't?

On the collection cup, does there look like there is a place you could connect a drain tube?

No there's a hole in the lid as a pressure relief thing I was told to drill more holes so all the pressure is dissolved evenly

That's an option that may just work for you. Go gentle drilling it, to much pressure on the drill can crack the plastic. Just let the bit do the work and you'll be fine

I'm going to stop using the skimmer and try something else it's caused electrical problems
