skimmer preformance being affected?

I have a 56g with a sump=65g altogether. From the overflow it goes down the tube to a "de-gassing" chamber then goes to the fuge and to skimmer compartment. Floods skimmer area with microbubbles. Will this affect the preformance of the skimmer as the pump sucks in the bubbles from the water? It doesn't seem to skim much
