Sump problems

Hi all

Been having a couple of problems setting up my new sump

I have a rio 125 that I've installed a 40 litre sump I've it only has 3 baffles till it hits the return pump !!

My inflow is a 600lph pump and the same with my return pump the only problem is when I set the water level when both are full that the last chamber of the sump drains really quickly!

Will I have too improve my flow rate though the baffles or do I need to change the pumps ?

Put a valve after pump to adjust flow.
Sounds more like your overflow is too small and the sump is not getting water fast enough?

Thanks for the reply !! Would you put the valve on the Return pump to the tank or on the pipe from the tank to the pump

After pump.....
