Hi All!
I have recently established my second FOWLR tank, and have a question about the clarity of the glass.
Both tanks came from well known manufacturers, and looked crystal clear before filling. I was careful to completely clean them brfore getting started.
Why do you suppose the tank is less than "crystal clear" now that it has clean water in it? I have been dissatisfied with both my tanks with regard to clarity, and I'm curious as to what gives them a "smokey" appearance.
This condition is [relatively] insignificant, however it IS dissapointing, and I'm hoping you can help me "clear things up".
Thanks!
Frank

I could be wrong but I believe the smokey appearance is lead or other metal in the glass. You can get whats called starfire glass that is clearer... at a price. Or acrylic.
