Thoughts on tanks with built in filters &/or lights?

It's curious about other peoples thoughts on tanks like mine that come with a built in filtration system and lights etc? The plastic ones I mean?
 
I have one for my 5 gallon Betta...it is very convenient in a small sized tank but I wouldn't go any bigger.
