Tip for Bulk Reef Supply GFO/Carbon Reactor

For anyone looking to purchase (or who already owns) this reactor, I found out that braided vinyl tubing (1/2 inch) works really well with the quick connect fittings.

I bought this reactor about two weeks ago and found out that the polyethylene tubing it comes with is super stiff and difficult to work with. Did some research online and everyone seemed to be of the opinion that anything other than the stiff tubing shipped with the unit wont work with the quick connect fittings. I decided to try some different tubing anyway, so I bought some 1/2 inch braided vinyl from Home Depot. Very impressed with the results! No leaks and super flexible routing of lines...

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Very helpful, and thanks. I have fought with the stiff tubing for years. Nice to know I can replace it with the braided vinyl stuff and still be ok. It is nothing short of a pain in the butt to work with every time.
