To laminate or not laminate?!?

Hi guys,

I’m having an aquarium custom built in Dubai and am having one company tell me it must be laminated (Which is costly) and have very ugly metal 90 degree corner pieces from top to bottom on all four edges.

Another company tells me it doesn’t have to be laminated and can have nice clean corners (other than adhesive) with no need for metal edging.

The tank is 1350 wide x 1000 high x 600 deep. I believe around 220 gallons. Marine tank.

I’m just checking before I end up with 220 of water on my lounge floor!

What is the thickness, that may be the difference between the 2 options. As well as the type of way they are joined together.

Sorry I don't recall the correct terms for the process, but some companies basically glue them and others use special way to bond them basically into a solid piece.(chemically? I don't know about that part, lol)

You'll want chemically welded acrylic, 1" I believe.
