Type of glue to use

i am making a 20 gallon fish tank, what types of glue should i use? or is silicone by itself ok? I obviously dont want the glass to explode or anything because the silicone wasn't strong enough to hold the water. if anyone can answer, that would be great. Its just an all glass aquarium. any ideas?

My aquariums that I have bought just have silicone, I assume that is the best thing to use

In addition to using the silicon to seal and hold the panels together you should put a frame around the top and bottom to help hold the joins together. This will take the load off the joints and spread the load over the glass panels.

You can buy aquarium grade silicone at most LFS's. If you buy it from a hardware store then make sure to get pure silicone. Many have additives that are no good like latex or mildew resisters.
