Used MH pendants overpriced?

I can get 2x Sunlight Supply Lumen Max #3, 250w HQI reflector for DE bulbs with 2 Hamilton ballasts and bulbs for about $400. Used of course. Is it worth it or overpriced?? Just want to upgrade my t5 setup.

It really depends on the area and what is available. In my area that would be considered over priced. Here it is easy to get all kinds of reefing equipment someone is always getting out or upgrading a tank.

Just an idea, if you find some good bulbs for your aquarium that you want get the info off of them and go down to a local electrical company and ask if they have any old used fixtures to run the lights. Could save big money that way.
