vortech pumps

I have a 125 mixed reef tank. As return I use Mag 12 and for circulation 4 Koralias. Im getting tired of Koralias. Every 4,5 months one will fail < stop working after shaking start in reverse or not starts at all> Im saving money and really want to try Vortech pumps. Do you guys think 2- MP10 would be enough? Or I have to buy MP40s? Thats a lot more money... Also Im not sure MP10 would work at all. My glass is 3/8 and I think thats max for MP10. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.
