I've been watering my lawn and roses with my weekly water changes, but now we started a fruit and veggie area. Do you use your dirty water for them too? My wife thinks it's not a good idea since we will be consuming them. I say it does not matter but will actually help them grow like the roses do. Thoughts?

I give my fw pwc water to my dad for his indoor grow beds. The spinach and radishes love it!
I don't think there is anything in the water that some farmers don't put on their fields too

Aquaponics systems do just that. They are setup in a way to circulate your aquarium water through a grow bed so the plants you are trying to grow feed off the nitrates. This is a great way to help keep a healthy tank and get added benefits. check it out on YouTube

Good points, thanks for the info. Will pass it on to the boss lady.
