what kind of gravel vac?

Now I know that a Python would be best, but my dad is completely against me stringing a hose through the house. So I'm stuck with one of these, or something along these lines. I'm not hard-set on the brands shown, just the type of vacuum they are.

I would go with either the second or third one. Both work equally well.
 
I would talk to the dad and explain that the python is cleaner to use when changing water and would only be in the way for about an hour every week. It's something you use and then put away until you use it again.
