What to use to clean splash guard

I've got a plastic splash guard that's getting a little funky. Do I just use normal windex on it or soap and water or something else I don't know about?

Best thing I've found to clean aquarium stuff is vinegar. It's great diluted with water for a glass cleaner, use it stronger for heavier cleanups and if you have something to clean with heavy dried buildup you soak it.

i would not want any soaps or detergents near my tank. vinegar would be the strongest thing i'd use.
