Well I have a oceanic 58G drilled tank with a built in overflow. Im wondering if I should run my return all the back up over the overflow to use as a water mover with loc line or just let it come back up into the overflow?

Here is what im dealing with...

P.S. Sorry for all the threads lol.

gotta come out over the overflow and into the tank. Or else you'd be creating in essence a closed loop within the overflow (kinda). overflow drain - sump - overflow drain.. You want overflow drain - sump - return to display - overflow drain

Thats what I was thinking but people were saying i dont have to come up over it and im thinking how would that work haha. Plus if the extra flow is there why not use it in the tank right?

Will/should keep your drain fairly quite. Without them sometimes you have a loud waterfall sound.
