Well after reading review after review I have decided to get a Eheim classic canister for my new aquarium. Just one question though, do I need the 2215 or 2217. My tank is a 45g, 36in x 13in x 24in, I plan on it being a non-planted community with tetras/danios. This needs to be a stand alone filter also, no hob or power head used as extra.

Any help is appreciated.

I would opt for the 2217 (264 gph) over the 2215 (163 gph) for that size of tank, especially if there will be no additional HW to assist with flow and filtration.
