Who runs an Eheim classic?

really? no one is running an eheim classic??? i find that way hard to believe...

Eheims are overrated IMO. They are quite a bit more expensive than the renas and fluvals, and for their price, dont do much in the way of filtration. That said, I do have a 2224 that I got for $20 brand new. I have it sitting in a closet somewhere if that says anything...

wow.. are they really THAT bad??? omg....

ok.. ive never really cared for fluval... my dad had a ekk i wanna say 202? or 302? and i always found it very noisy and leaked.... kind of turned me off from fluval...

I picked up a couple Eheims in my first few trades and started using them, I liked them, virtually silent and appear to do a good job. I continued to collect them and am currently running 5 of them, 3- Pro II 2028's a 2222 and a 2227 and have not had a moments trouble (knock on wood) I also had a 2213 Clasic and it was wasnt all that, but still a good filter, the hose fitting would leak after you took them apart.

They are too expensive to by new, but thats comming from a junk collector
