For a 120 gallon aquarium (48" x 24" x 24"), Perfecto sells a stand in the prestige series with doors so small that no adequately sized sump can be crammed under the aquarium... why is such a useless product manufactured for a tank with built in overflows? What can be done to make this setup work if it can be had at an attractive price?

Is the bottom/top/back open? Some stands may have small doors in front for general access but most have either the bottom/top/back open for easy sump placement (before tank is put on).

Sadly, the top is solid. The back is open only as much as the front and does not allow for a sump of sufficient size.

Can one remove the piece that separates the two openings in the rear and then reattach it? It appears to be only 3/4" plywood.
