So as the title suggests, my new bulb is flickering.

Just got a new 10,000k bulb (15w) and I'm using an electronic ballast to power it, it's apparently suitable for 14w, 15w and 18w.

It comes on fine, stays fine for a while and then randomly starts flickering?

If it's flickering and I turn it off and back on, it stops flickering, weird?

Any ideas?

Not sure, could be, it's new so I haven't really used it until now.

I'll see if I can try another bulb in the ballast and see if the same thing happens, only problem is it happens randomly so I could be waiting a long time lol.

Hm, make sure the bulb is screwed in completely. I have had that happen where i thought i had it in right but it was a little loose so it would flicker. Good luck

I'll wait until I see it flicker again and then I'll push on the connectors, if that fixes it then I owe you :)

Seems it was just getting too hot (the hood houses 2 ballasts behind the bulb)

Gonna add a fan and that should hopefully sort it out!
