Hey there,

I'm trying to finalize purchases of equipment for my first tank and I've narrowed my thermometer selection down to these two.

Speedtech instruments wireless station + sensors

Rainbow Lifeguard big temp alert

I read a couple recommendations for the Rainbow Lifeguard one, but I can't seem to find anything about the Speedtech setup. Price is pretty comparable (I'd probably get a 2nd wireless sensor and found the Big Temp for a little cheaper elsewhere). The wireless setup seems pretty sweet, but it says it's +/- 2 F, and I can't seem to find anything about the accuracy of the Big Temp Alert.

Any experience or suggestions either way?

Thanks!

I have the big temp and its nice... But for my second tank I went to radio shack and got one of there cheap in/out door digital thermo for I think it was $14. the thing works great.... Walmart has them even cheaper..

I got the little time or temp and it works great too. I just ordered the wireless one for my QT and garbage can for water changes. I will know if it works in the next week or so. I ordered 2 extra probes so I can stick one in my display to see how accurate it is compared to my little time or temp.
