Currently cycling a 10G for my betta boy. Check out the sparkly background- DIY spray paint + glitter works wonders! I want to add plants in the future. Any suggestions for good beginner/low-tech plants? I'm totally new to having a planted tank! I do have a hood w/ lights- just haven't put it up yet.

Anubias: grows slow, has big leaves for your betta to rest one and can be left to float or attached to a decoration.
Java fern: again float or attach to decorations and is a low light plant.
Of course marimo moss balls are practically unkillable.

Thanks SaraB! I have heard anubias is a good starter plant! I think I will give it a shot.

Watch the corner of that tank it’s hanging over a little and putting 70-80 lbs on a frail table with a possibly alread compromising corner could lead to a life changing headache called water spill .

Thanks for the concern @Fishlegend
I'm not worried, I think the picture makes it seem worse than it is. The table is sturdy and I feel like the tank is secure.
