Thought I would share my 3-4 month old 40G breeder tank, bought at petco $1 per gallon sale
It's a community tank, no plants
Lighting is Marine land double LED lights with moon lighting. I had to buy ( 2 )
because the tank is so wide. They were pricey
I also have a volcano in front of the castle, that has a red LED light in the middle, and bubbles like a real volcano, I think this is everyone's favorite including mine!
The stand took me a whole weekend to make, ( made myself ) and houses my
Fuval 406 Canister filter inside. Has 3 coats of varnish and 2 coats of clear
Total cost for the DYI stand was $123.00
Reason I made my own stand, I wanted the fish tank alittle below eye level
All the tank stands in the stores were just so low. When I walk into the room now, the tank sits about 6" below eye level
I also have blue LED lighting behind the ship wreck which is broken in half, so at night, the LED lights shine up through the holes in the ship !
My first tank again in 10 years since my last one, and I'm all ready thinking of a big salt water tank in the next year
