Bluethroat trigger fish

Hey everyone, I have a 64(48/18/18) tank with two clowns and a Kol tang. Can I add a bluethroat trigger fish? I would first keep him in a 30 long QT tank for minimum a month. Is this a good idea?

No. These fish get huge. They can max out at 9 inches and need a 6 ft tank. When dealing with these fish, rocks need to be anchored together as they will rearrange your display. Flow is also important as you won't be able to keep a clean up crew alive in the tank for very long most likely.

I agree blue throats need a bigger tank. However they and cross hatches are planktivores in the wild and thus the only reef safe triggers. I still wouldn’t do one in that size tank as like hank said they get large
