Pick up a good book, play a video game, refine your stocking list, window shop on the net for good cheap gear for the tank, think of some DIY projects, I could name a few more but you get the idea. You have plenty of time to play with your rocks (NOT THOSE THE ONES ON YOUR TANK).LOL

Haha yeah, im pretty happy with the rockwork on my tank now. I know its going to be perfect for corals and the fish/inverts i want, so im leaving it alone. Got the camera back today so you guys know what that means!!!

PICS lol.

Hope you guys like my rockwork. The pictures do it no justice, but i love the way they look.

Pictures look a little green. Duno why, but its probably from the bulbs, cuz the bulbs suck lol.

Also, heres the tank top i made thanks to HN1!!! I like the way it works if i do say so myself. So, i made it out of fiberglass netting. Im not really sure if thats ok for the lights to penetrate.. What do you guys think? The fiberglass netting ok? The ligh in my tank looks a tad dimmer but its not really noticeable.

Well thats all for now.

Looks great, I'm glad you didn't quit. What I'm going thru now would make one think about it but I look at it this way, good things don't come easy and never come for those who quit.

Great job. Is it a good feeling? Because i can not wait tell i get mine going. It would be cool if you had like a tower of thin rock in the middle of all that open area.

Yeah i wanted the open area though because i want room for the fish to swim out to, and then be able to retreat back to the rocks. Plus, i've used all 75lbs of my rock. Dnt got anymore lol.

lol.. That "free standing rock" is probably less then half and inch from the sand.. so i dont think it can do much damage if it *tipped* over. And actually, it has a part of it that is buried in the sand keeping it held up.

Actually i like how he did it. It is like a little edged cliff or something. It would be a great hideout for little shrimp but you could still see them. I would put a SPS coral frag on it and let it get HUGE.

Yeah Etunes!! Thats what i had in mind the whole time!! I was going to put something like a frogspawn or something like that and let it get gigantic and then it would look awesome! I also thought about putting a couple small rocks in the back so that it was more like a cave instead something like a hangover. Duno yet, but i have a couple pieces of small rubble rock that i might do that with.

nah, dont make it a cave, it looks good like it is, just surround it with more rocks, but dont make it an enclosed cave. it looks cool open. did it come like that or did that break off of another rock?

Thanks. The rocks would look nicer but they are covered in some grime. The grime i never cleaned off in the beginning lol. Actually, i had one leftover big piece of rock, so i went outside and hosed that bad boy off completely and thoroughly cleaned it. The end product was actually pretty surprising. It was green, red, purple and lots of other colors. So once i get some snails and crabs/shrimp to pick off all that other poopy stuff on my rocks, then im sure it will start to look nice.
