Alright so tonight I took SWSCJ advice in using milk crate to build off my aquascape. So I bought 2 milk crates they were a little to big for my tank so I had to cut them and zip tie them together so that they fit in my tank.

After I got my LR out of the tank I started to attached it the the crate. I had to drill some of the rock and used zip ties to attached them.

So a progress keeps coming along. When I put my sump under the stand it fit good but a little uncomfortable to work with anything if I had to. So being in the tile industry.
I Decicded to cut the 55 gal that is 21" tall to 16" to make it more easy to work under the stand.
So I got my grinder and put a 4" glass cutting blade that I use for tile Decicded to go to town on it.
Now the process was easy grinder with the glass blade and water to keep the glass cool , so that it wouldnt crack. Just took my time and succeeded now I have a 12"x 48" x 16" sump with 4 dividers

Thanx SWSCJ. I have to say your idea about the crate was genius. Definitely gave me height so that I didn't have to purchase more LR.

Glad it's working out. It made a difference when aquascaping my tank. Plus the fish love it.

How are you going to organize your chambers? I have a 75gal sump but it has two chambers. In the first is the input, live rock, and protein skimmer. It then goes over to the second chamber where the output is. There is lots of room but I don't know what order everything should be.

Here how mine looks and the dimensions the overall dimensions of the tank are 48" L x 16" H x 12" D

as you can see the
1st chamber is skimmer and drain water from tank
2nd chamber is refugium
3rd is the bubble trap area
4th is were bubbles go thru filter pad to stop more bubbles
5th is the return water

Thank you. That's very helpful. Especially with the measurements. I'm going to do some work on mine this summer.

Last night I notice in my holding tank my corals weren't looking bright and the water was looking a little cloudy. So I keep looking around and noticed some black stuff on the brim of the holding tank near the heaters. I looked at the heaters and 1 of the heaters was melted and glass was shattered. Apperantaly the tank was getting shocked by the heater. Luckily the heaters were on a ranco temperature controller so the heaters weren't always on. But it diffenitly stress the corals and fish.
