Sweet it looks really healthy, watch out it doesn't take you whole arm lol, yeh hope I don't get too many bad hitchhikers, prob get a few

Are keeping corals hard?? I have a large lighting unit with 4 t5's in it but I don't use it as the standard top is ok for fish, would I need anything else?

Certain corals can be very difficult to keep, but most are not too bad. If you have the lighting, have them placed in the flow they prefer, and keep up with your water changes (matching temp and salinity since some corals are sensitive to sudden change) then you shouldn't have much of a problem. It is also easier to keep corals in a mature tank since a mature tank has had time to stabilize itself. Just research on liveaquaria or other similar sites what the difficulty and requirements are for the certain coral you are interested in. Mushrooms and zoas are very easy to start off with and don't need much light to survive.

Bad news live rock didnt get delivered :( it's goin to b here Tuesday. So guthead. Oh well brought ammonia remover ready for the rock, just to speed up cycling. And a digital thermometer and refractometre, to cheer myself up

Finally!!!!!! The live rock is here!!!!! I really didn't know how to aqua scape it so I just went with the flow and it looks brill!! So glad I waited. So it's now cycling, I'll do a 25-50% water change tomorrow and then follow that up with another one Sunday, the prob Wednesday next week hopefully the ammonia will fall quickly, I put my phosphate remover and nitrate remover in the filter today, so anyways here's the photos enjoy!!

It actually recently got a leak and we took it apart/put it back together. Just finished getting it set up last night. Here is the link for that story haha http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f11/260-gallon-leak-144654.html

Here's some pics of before we took it down though, it's a pretty new tank still.

KMS is that IR photography?

Just had a thought is it a good idea to set up a quarantine tank? I've got a spair 65 litre and a spair 190 litre, also what should I put in it?

Your rock looks great! It would be a good idea to set up the quarantine before you start getting fish so it can cycle too. The 65 liter should be large enough, I'd put some tubing in their for the fish to hide in, maybe a fake plant, I just use one of those small hang on the side filters.

Bavass: I do not believe it is IR, it is just a certain setting on the camera where it allows you to choose one color to stand out and all the other colors will be black and white. Pretty fun to use :)

Thank for the advice :) also Is it a good idea to lower the salinity to 1.010 to 1.012 coz supposedly the fish will accumulate to it but any decease they have come with, (if any) ain't so tolerant and they die, same with live rock with worms on, just something I read.

Well day 4 with live rock, done first water change on day 3, done tests before water change

Specific gravity 1.026
Ph 8.2
Alkalinity 12 dkh
Ammonia 8 ppm
Nitrate 80 ppm
Nitrite 5 ppm

Then just done one so day 5

Specific gravity 1.026
Ph 8.2
Alkalinity 12
Ammonia 2 ppm
Nitrate 20 ppm
Nitrite 5 ppm
Phosphate 0.25 ppm
Calcium 480 ppm

So a definite decrease in ammonia and nitrate So ill do another water change tomorrow

:)
