New to saltwater. Bsnows 75gal reef tank.

Ok so I'm new to saltwater and have been looking up and researching this topic for about year before I jumped in. I was going to acouple times before with smaller tanks and just never did. Now I finally started my tank and it's not the best and will never be. But I'm proud to know I've started Something that I will love. So here's my journal I'm making of my progression from here on out.

This is how it started out



Getting a little better. Three away the diy hang in back and picked one up. I was told to drill by many people. But it's my first time and didn't want to risk it but i will in the future for upcoming tanks

Filled it and started the cycle on March 1st 2014. So 10 days into cycle.

I have rescaped my tank to my better likings. I still need more rock I was gunna pick some up last night 1$ a pound dry rock 50 pound box 50 bucks but didn't yet haha. I wanted more of a big cave feature more then just the island of rocks.

Ok so I went out and got some more rock. Also added 30 more pounds of sand. Comin alone pretty we'll. cycle has kicked back in and is dropping again.

Thanks guys It means a lot but I actually am very particular Bc I'm gunna have to look at these rocks for a long time once there's livestock so I actually have moved the rocks around once more and hopefully the last time. Still have big cave features with alittle more open. Two rock piles are hollow on the inside as caves.

Things look really nice and sleek. What kind of lighting do you have hanging above the tank? I don't recognize that unit.

It's the beamswork 48" 72 3w leds. It's alright but for the price I couldn't beat it. 175 brand new. But it's not dimmable and it only has 16 blues compared to 56 white. So I'm waiting for my blue led bar to come in it's 48 inches so should make the tank pop and had 56 blue leds

Yea it's not a bad light just bad blue to white ratio. But umm I just went to Amazon and typed in like aquarium led light bar....but most only come from china..
