i'm always referring to this tank so i thought i might post a few pics. it's very hard to take pictures of this tank and it's inhabitants because the lighting in that area of the gym is terrible. it's either that, or user error :p

anyway, the tank is a standard 150, and the sump is a standard 55. i pieced everything together mostly with stuff i had laying around the house, since the gym owner gave me full reign to do so, but limited funds.

originally he had a 48" 2 x 150 watt hqi fixture over the tank and it was clearly insufficient, so i added a few pendants. now, it's got a 150 and 175 watt pendant over one side, and a 250 watt pendant over the other.
the folks that view this tank don't notice the lighting difference, but i do.

i tried talking him into new lighting, but he's not going for it.

when i aquascaped the tank i drilled the rock with a masonry bit and used acrylic rods to make 2 rock towers, and built off of them.

Looks pretty nice Larry. You might have found a part time job doing tanks. LOL

thanks. he eats asterina starfish. they occur naturally in this system now, and really got to be a bit of a problem for a little while. the single shrimp seems to handle the population perfectly, without eating the tank empty. it appears to be a good balance so far.

Awesome job Mr. X... Like Melosu58 said looks like you fmight have found a part time job doing tanks.... To bad you couldn't come to Houston to help with a 180 gal setup that I will be getting sometime in January.... I have no clue as to where to begin at....

Beautiful job "egor" ,...someday I hope that I'll have the know how to actually put something like this together myself,..... But in the meantime I'm quite content just watching my triggerfish in my little puny 75 gallon tank,.. Thanks for the post Doug ,....Dary

lol..thanks Dary.
blueberry looking coral?
if you mean this picture, they are florida ricordea. pretty common actually. moderate lighting is fine for these.

Woah that's cool! (The blueberry looking coral, lol.)
I don't know much about saltwater, so haha that looks pretty cool to me!

The rock work looks really good, I need to learn how to do that, but for now I'll just stick to stacking the rocks on top of each other:p

You absolutely have to love ricordias.... Any good places to order multipacks from for a good price?
