Started this tank 02/12. girlfriend brought it home and wanted Nemo. Killed them all so I started researching to help her out. Now we have fun and sometimes expensive hobby we both love.
Girlfriend started adding fish before the cycle was complete and all 3 clowns died, believe it was from iche
Started fresh running it for about a month with nothing but the soul serving linkia (orange) star fish. It is in great shape now going on around 4-5 months. About a 5% water change a week. Next big step is getting an RO/DI w/ a chloramine filter (live in LA) Then I will start my 60gl tank I got about a month or so ago. which will leave the 20gl tank as our quarantine/ inverts tank.
Residence list in the 20gl to date
-1 turbo snail
-3 sand snails
-1 orange linkia star fish
-2 scarlet cleaner shrimp
-1 big green bubble tip anemone
-2 mushroom polyps (green and blue)
I know the light is low for the bta and coral, but they have been in only a week and will be moved to the 60gl after it is cycled. But they seem pretty happy as my bta stays close to the light on the top of the LR and the polyps are bigger than they were in the store under all those leds and massive t5 ( think because the light is a lot closer to them in my set-up. Can't wait to get started on my 60gl!! Will be posting a thread during the build!

20gl glass tank
around 20lbs of live rock w/ an inch or so of "live sand" or w/e its called
24in T5 HO running 28 watts at the moment
Marineland Penguin Biowheel Filter-100gph
Marina Air Pump 200 w/ air stone
75 or 100 watt thermostat
Water (tap mixed w/ a conditioner and instant ocean salt)
