Is it possible for me to have babies in a community tank if Im not trying to breed them and not changing water conditions and temps and such?

Sorry for the dumb question but Im new to this and not sure if water conditions and temps need to be changed for fish to breed! Thanks

Defiantly, any species of fish can breed at any given time. Although there's nothing wrong if they do have babies.

Why are you trying to prevent it?

Im not trying to prevent it It\ think it'd be cool but Im not preparred with a nursery tank or anything. Can you leave the fry in a tank with the other fish if it were to happen?

You can, yes. They will probably become snacks, though. If there is plenty of cover a few might make it. Many people "let" their fish breed in the community tank and let nature "happen". It's ok.. Not a bad thing IMHO.
