Amano shrimp

Has anyone successfully raised amanos? I have two females carrying eggs right now and was wondering if it is possible to raise the fry.

From what i have read. Amanos need to be raised in brackish or full salt.

Yup - I've also read that they go through a brackish/marine larval phase, so practically nobody raises them.

If you're really interested in raising shrimp, find some neocaridina species that has no planktonic stages - they pretty much hatch as miniature adults and feed accordingly (eg: cherry, crystal shrimp).

I have cherry shrimp already but was really hoping to breed amanos.
