Apistogramma cacatuoides

Tomorrow I'm picking up some f0 cockatoos (a pair I believe) but being f0 they lack the wonderful redness of the double red, triple red, etc. does anyone know if I can breed them and produce it and if so how?

Thanks

You'll probably have to cross breed with a different strain to get more coloration..

You will not get the nice colored varieties with your wild fish. Its like getting regular guppies from a pet store and hoping to get albino babies. Odds are less than 1 in a billion.
