Auratus breeding

I have about 13 Auratuin a 25 gal tank and one female has a few fry in her mouth. My question is should I remove her or just let the little fry fend for themselves. She already is thin and has got damaged gills. But I am managing to feed her and she is fairings well amongst the pack. Any thoughts?
