Baby Convicts

Woke up this morning to find many baby Convicts. Can I net some into a breeding net to ensure their survival or is it too soon and they still need to be with the parents?

You can separate them just get some fry food or crush flakes into a powder for them to eat.

What is the best way to separate them? A net might not work since they are so small.

thats awesome. apparently convicts are pretty good parents,so i would leave them in to see what happens. are there any tankmates?

Yes, there are other cichlids in the tank. I just want to see if I can net out 2 or so in a breeder net, then leave the rest for the parents. This way I know at least 2 survive.

They should fit in a small mesh net, maybe try a cup if not, if they dont make it you will have new fry every 2 weeks with a pair of convicts , they will keep breeding .
