The snail you circled looks more like a ram horn than mystery snail. For mystery snails - you can treat them just like adults - they will do just fine without much effort as long as there is some food. Having said that don't go pouring in a lot of extra food into your tank - you will pollute the water.

Here is a better picture. They look blue. Its next to my rabbit snail. Sorry the quality isn't that great.

It could be but the shell shape looks wrong in the picture - either way they dont' require any special care - if it is a mystery snail in 4 or 6 weeks it will be a bit larger and easily identifiable - post an update if it turns out to be one. It is odd you would only have one - i suppose if you purchased a plant it was on the plant (as a snail). I have yellow ones and now and then i miss an egg sack and get more but they lay the eggs out of water.

Congratulations all around!

For snails, I just leave the film on the inside glass 3 sides, clean the front to watch them if needed. But that gives the snails something to eat. Also baby fish eat biofilm, so keep water clean but let the biofilm grow for the babies on plants stones and DW!!!
