So earlier today I picked up a male red peacock for my female blue peacock. When I put him into the tank he was instantly attracted to a different blue peacock, but that blue peacock is male?! Within two minutes of them swimming together they started to do the mating ritual. So I've come to the conclusion that the red peacock is really female. My question is is that when they did the mating ritual I didn't see any eggs.... Can someone explain?

What types of peacocks are these? Typically female peacocks are drab brownish or gray with some barring. Never are they colorful. Dragon blood females can have some color but they are still pale pinks and reds and so on. Are you able to post pictures? You'll see very shortly that if these are aulonocara one will be determined dominant and the others will lose much color

They are Stuartgranti and jacobsfreibergi. (I'm schulfers fiancée)
