I have a purple Cambodian male and a red crown female can I breed these two both of them have bred with partners of the same breed but not with each other

Yes you can cause they are both just color morphs and finnage morphs of the same fish: Betta splendens
The best way to keep the phenotypes however is to breed similar types together so you get double strong genes of that trait. In one of my pairings, I got Regular, Delta tailed, 1/2 moon and double tails out of 1 spawn and these were 2 regular fish on the outside (just with all those genes inside of them.) You can breed for this result or you can just get lucky. ( I just got lucky :brows:. )
