breeding cichlids

hi everyone, would like to know if a Texas cichlid can breed with a red parrot fish...im curious about cross breeding because these two fish seem like their trying !! thank u BF bobby .....

Fish can sometimes go through the motions but not successfully produce offspring. Considering that the parrot fish is a man made "frankenfish", there's no way of telling if that kind of cross would lead to anything. Personally, I wouldn't let them breed or do anything with the fry IF they do produce. There's just too much hybridization within that fish that adding another gene pool can't be good. ( Just my opinion of course. )
