Ok we we picked up some Pandas the other day and I have just flat fallen in love with them. I'd like to try to breed them some day how would I go about that?

What are the steps to breeding Pandas? Can it be done in a aquarium?

How can I tell who's male and whos female?

I have had bronze and julii lay eggs so YMMV for Pandas. You get about 6 and feed them catfish pellets and blood worms till they are fat. They will spawn. IME a pair will so swimming together shimmying and dancing around looking for spawning sites. The first sign that I have noticed is eggs on plants and glass. If you see this then remove the others from the tank and when spawning is over remove the remaining 2. You really need a seperate tank for spawing and to raise the fry or they will eat the eggs. I have not tried to spawn them for fry rearing purposes though.

The female is the one laying the eggs  She is usually stouter.
