breeding siamese fighter

hiya guys, so basicaly my dad was telling me stories about how he bred some siamese fighters back when he had his tanks, (going back 15 odd years lol)

anyway id love to do the same. i want to buy a new tank so that i can seperate them all from my main tank to reduce the risk of competition with other fish etc and wondered what the best size tank to work with would be?

if i got a couple of 1ft square tanks would they be ok??
