Hello Everyone. (Newby Here)

I have a 5 gallon glofish tank.
3 years ago i bought two bristlenose.
Well since then, they have had 3 set of babies.

The store I bought them from didn’t believe me at first. He said that he had never heard of bristlenose breeding in a home tank much less a 5 gallon.
Then i sent him videos.

The first batch of Fry, i had to ‘let go’ of most, nobody wanted them.
I kept 5.

2nd batch i realized the store would trade me for glosfish.

This 3rd i eliminated most of the eggs and now have about 8 fry. (To trade later)

My Question is: Is this true!? Is it rare?

No it is not true. The guy that told you that doesn't know what he is talking about. Bristlenoses breed like rabbits in home aquariums as you have discovered.

Welcome!

Yes, they can breed when they get a couple years old. It is fun to see the tiny little creatures wiggling around in the tank.

Most of the varieties of GloFish are a minimum of 10G and really should be 20G and Please get a bigger tank, Glowfish need groups of the same species of fish.

The fish will be able to swim more and grow better with more water.
