can u sex a peacock eel?

I got two peacock eels of the same size. I was wondering if u can sex them and if they would do ok together. They are in separate tanks right now. I got them yesterday.

Id think its super difficult. This is what I found online " Spiny eels are universally sexed by looking at their body shape: females are dramatically more deep-bodied than the males."

Thanx. I got one that's shaped kind of funny. It gets really wide and oval before it gets to the tail. That might be a female. The other is as narrow as a pencil.
