Can you see celebese rainbow eggs?

So my rainbows seem to be spawning- their color is more intense, they are entwining and wiggling together. But I don't see any eggs. I haven't actually set the temp or anything else to encourage mating, so might they be just playing? Or are they really trying but conditions aren't right for egg production? Thanks!
