i have two pairs of convicts in a 40 g tank with fry's of their own... the fry are free swimming now... i have had convicts before, but never had to do this. i was wondering if the fry can be seperated from their parents. i want to move both pair of the parents into a 55 g tank and just leave all the fry in the 40 g tank. will the fry survive alone. will the parents be ok? plz help.

You should have no problem seperating the fry from their parents. Commercial breeders generally remove the parents once eggs are laid.
